I believe in validation, active listening and cognitive restructuring
The approaches I use largely derive from cognitive behavioral, emotionally focused individual therapy, and a humanistic/existential format – pinpointing where the client is at, promoting an understanding of their subjective experience while also honoring their past experiences. For some, recognizing and bringing awareness on how their past experiences influence their present lives cultivates healing- one goal being maximizing an individual’s potential to enrich their lives according to their core values. The therapeutic modalities I include in my work are CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), CPRT (Child-Parent Relational Therapy), EFIT (Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy), ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention), DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy) and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), and MIT trained in executive business coaching - with a culturally appropriate framework.
An area of focus I have affinity for are individuals who have family members experiencing chronic and/or intermittent mental health challenges and those in corporate. Please remember you are not alone and support is available. I collaborate with clients and bridge person centered awareness, empowerment, while mutually (between client and clinician) identify needs, wants and desires in an effort to propel change. Areas of focus include loss aversion, negative self talk, avoidant behavior and trauma processing.
I work with clients on bridging person centered awareness, empowerment, while mutually (between client and clinician) identify needs, wants and desires in an effort to propel change within inter and intrapersonal relationships. Including but not limited to; loss aversion, negative self talk, avoidant behavior and trauma processing.
Confidentiality and discretion are imperative, and I hold these in high regard by providing a space where you can express yourself freely.
